🆓Wickersley gig – post COVID

I was dreading last night a little. I’ve just had COVID and my voice isn’t too good right now – so to go and do a 100 minute gig was not a prospect I was really looking forward to.

However, it’s silly to cancel and we went on and gigged. A nice local one for me (15 minutes away) and I have to say it’s always a decent one up there. We seem to have our audience nailed at that club – they dance rather well during the second set (it’s the norm with these sorts of clubs that you don’t dance during the first set so the first set has the more thoughtful and technical material in it whereas the second set is full of absolute bangers).

Encores are usually chosen from a list of about 5 songs based on the age range of the audience of the club.

For set one I wore:

Leather chinos (eBay), white slim fit shirt (River Island), waistcoat (Burton), Tie (Matalan) and my boots were River Island.

For the second set I wore my teal PVC trousers (ASOS), with a distressed Spiral Direct shirt.

Wow isn’t everything fitting so well!

As a final note – I also wore an Enigma Stretcher (4mm, 6G) in my bottom hole in my right ear (my bedecked ear, as I now call it).

It’s basically a spiral of stainless surgical steel with a hanging section to keep it in. It’s retained using just gravity because it’s a balanced structure.

Anyhow, as a bonus I videos the first set. At the very end when I sorted the gear out and put my battery pack on charge you get some bonus leather footage with the lights on!
