I’ve been a little disappointed with Fiido in general, and the poor build quality is now showing – to the extent that my next bike will not be Chinese made.
First I’ve had trouble with the handlebar locking peg coming loose, repeatedly. This is poor design.
Second, the hall effect “boost sensor” failed on me. No warning. One minute it was ok, next minute it was dead. Totally dead.
What really galled me though is that on a £600 bike they only give a 6 months warranty on the electronics, as I’ve now found out. How shoddy are they that the company daren’t warrant them beyond 6 months?
Then, the support I received from the shop wasn’t good either – they wanted me to pay £££ to get it fixed – so I decided to invest in a crank puller and I bought the part and fixed it myself.
Anyway, here’s the vlog. No leather here sorry.
I saw that on YouTube earlier. You bought a chinkanese lemon. Throw it under the largest lorries you can find.
Unfortunately I can’t afford the best part of £3K for an electric British built Brompton, so I have to make do with this
