This weekend I went to a gaming event at WX in Wakefield. It’s a new exhibition venue there (rather a good one too). I travelled by train like a good boy and walked from Wakefield Westgate up to the venue.

I didn’t actually intend buying much except some 3D printed signs since I knew MND were going to be there – but then I saw it 😲 a light sixer Atari 2600 – recapped and converted to output RCA rather than the usual channel 36. I was in love!
So the old girl came home with me (£95 lighter) and is now gracing my den shelves. It looks good with some of my Atari collection and my new 3D printed sign.

And what of my own Heavy Sixer? Well I now don’t have to have it modified at all – so it can stay 1978 spec.
Just as a note this isn’t my whole collection of Atari stuff – if I got that out I’d fill the room!
The spectrum stuff has now moved to the shelf under the moon. It’s another device I’ve got a huge collection for, but the idea is the stuff I use in stream/regularly stays out and the rest is in archive boxes.

Note the new ZX Spectrum sign too. Just in case you need to know what each system is… 🤣
