Echoes of Wisdom came out last week. It’s the FOURTH game in the series for the Switch, thus breaking the Gameboy’s record of 3 Zelda games (Links Awakening, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons) and so cementing the Switch as the most Zelda related console of all time (and not forgetting you can play loads of the retro Zelda games on there too!).
This new game brings in large elements of Breath of the Wild with the open world exploration, whilst adding hints of Tears of the Kingdom with the ability to summon “things” such as furniture & mobs to build structures to solve puzzles. For me, that’s great! You really can start the game and head anywhere (almost) although there is a mandatory starter sequence similar to Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
So today I streamed it for the first time, and apart from some initial confusion due to me already having completed two dungeons I think my viewers got into it rather well. I defeated the boss of the Jabu Jabu dungeon in stream too. It was also my first time using my new stream announces done in Canva. I’m still learning the platform so be patient with me!
The Shiny Sunday was a complete accident of a logo, but I love it! That’s going to be staying around for a while.
Tomorrow we audition a drummer. I hope to god this one turns out ok! I’m getting weary of this now. It’s the last piece of the puzzle now before we become a full band and start the road to gigging again.
