After a rather lazy day meeting inlaws we decided to have a cycle ride down the side of the Don navigation to Meadowhall as there loads of brambles down the sides of the paths and we need some blackberries for our Christmas rum.

They weren’t too bad considering its very late in the season now. The bigger ones have gone really mushy but some of the smaller more tart flavoured ones were still left so we filled a tub. With the impeding cost of living crisis we’re all cutting costs.
I cancelled loads of subscriptions over the weekend including things like my Stadia subscription. I hardly use it so it’s a no brainer really. Same for my Journey Journal subscription – I’ve been blogging here for 18+ years. This is my journey.
So I suppose it’s time to carry on that journey. Will I manage another 18 years? I can’t see why not!

Only wear leather around blackberry brambles. The thorns can penetrate even thin leather easily. They will absolutely destroy latex and PVC. I had to use heavy leather welder’s gloved to pull the thorn runners out of a garden that was infested with them from a neighbor’s blackberry bushes.
I like nature
Me too. I love being out with the trees and animals. There’s nothing finer.
