I know this has taken me a few days, but last weekend was Johnfest – a festival to celebrate the life of one of Strangefish’ longest term fans. We played a selection from the first two albums including a rendition of Lighthouse Jig with his son Ian on fiddle.
I also got to wear the blue pvc chinos as a tester for how they would work with my other band. The results were pretty conclusive. Sweaty! Good for photos, but I don’t think I’d like to play a hot venue in summer whilst wearing them. They are much thicker than the shiny black PVC my suit is made of though.
