My favourite Alton Towers coaster is closed next year for retracking and general cleaning up works. It is 28 years old enough, and even after all those years it has still never been bettered.

I thought Wickerman was your favorite. Nemesis was surely a very well built coaster to last 28 years. I wish I could have rode it with you, in between you and Glen in full leather suits. It would have been 💦💦💦
I love all the coasters there, but Nemesis is my absolute favourite.
As long as they’re not getting rid of it (not that I’ll definitely be able to ride it ever again). Nemesis might still be my favourite coaster at Alton. I’m assuming it might be like the Incredible Hulk coaster at Islands of Adventure, where they replaced the entire track, but still kept the ride largely the same; just a refresh.
The history of how Nemesis came to be is kind of crazy (and the “Secret Weapon” codename), especially since it was supposed to be a completely different ride that failed in testing, so they came up with Nemesis as a replacement. Genius theming and use of Alton’s landscape limits. I do kind of miss when it used to have the blood red bubble-bath water, though.
Yeah it’s just a retrack with no changes as far as I’m aware.
