The Wool Monty / Rotherham Pride

Today was Rotherham Pride and The Wool Monty – so I took Thing up to The Wool Monty first so she could buy creative stuff for her projects (including a rather gorgeous yarn bowl). I have to say some of the older generation can be VERY rude! One nearly reversed their mobility scooter into me, and two pushed infront of Thing in a queue until I pulled them up about it.

After dropping Thing off at home I headed down to Pride, with the aim of finishing for an hour at Extra Life Gaming Lounge. Pride was amusing. Lots of badges & stuff to buy; a few artists on stage (although why they put the stage at the TOP of a hill I can’t understand?!). I did look at a couple of stallholders and think “Yeah I’ve bought a load of Pride tat to sell on to the wooly woofters” – generic rainbow stuff, very little understanding of what Pride is about; and the lack of customers made me think most of the LGBTQ community had seen straight through their sham.

I have to say I’m loving the glasses! It’s so easy to take a “my eye view” photo!
