It’s not a question you often get asked as an adult. Kids, we were all about team primary colours. I was always team blue.
Then as you get older you realise that blue is a huge range of colours and your preferences will tend towards one particular area of the spectrum. For me it’s the teal and peacock blues. Those with a hint of green in them. Even my latex suit is a dark teal blue (petrol blue). I have a fair collection of clothing in my favourite area of the colour spectrum and can coordinate very well!
Also blue for me, but more the deep dark kind like midnight blue or International Klein Blue. There’s a company that recreated the original IKB paint. I’de love to get my hands on that and use it as a background in a painting.
I’m really into dark green right now, mostly for clothes.
But I enjoy a pastel/washed out colour, I feel like people also appreciate a range of colour that fits into an aesthetic.
Green has its place too, but I’ve never really gone for it as a clothing colour.
